Sons of the Addicted is a new rock band that draws from four decades of musical landscapes woven together with a unique and quirky twist. The sound is fresh with flashback moments of Zappa, Incubus, Primus, Tool, Satriani, Jean-Luc Ponty and others haunting the memory modes of your brain’s opiate receptors into believing that you’ve heard this music before… but where? Nowhere! That’s because Sons of the Addicted’s melodic songwriting and hypnotic rhythms are distinctly their own and sounds like no other music being heard today.
Founded and formed by their freaky and ultra-talented lead guitar player, singer and principle composer Stosch Dembitsky, he is joined by long-time friends Bailey Vince on drums, percussion, lyrics and rap, and Joel Waller on Bass. These three have played together since their early teenage years and have developed a sense of spontaneity with one another that is often spooky and thrilling. Michael Scherr brings his eastern keyboards and vocal harmonies raising the sound ceiling to beyond.
The group was formed in a small town (Ridgway, Colorado) of 750 people on the Western Slope of the Rocky Mountains where the group lives together in a house they now call home and rehearsal hall.
The group is partnered and working with award winning producer Dubl D (Dik Darnell) and engineer Steve Sykes. Their debut album, FRACTAL WORLD was recorded in Los Angeles and Colorado and mixed at Steve’s studio in LA. Hear it to believe it.
Sons of the Addicted will be featured in a live web broadcast weekly show beginning in 2009. The show will feature the band’s unique musical styles, an inner look at the everyday living experience of a rock band and the launch of the Bailosch Society – a music, humor, rock rage, underground, worldwide anti-empire online social whirling fractalized network.
Check out this band and let them take you into the fractal world! It’s an experience you won’t soon forget.
