Jamie Mefford & Blue Light

Blue Light formed as collaboration between Jess Mefford (vocals) Jamie Mefford (guitar, vocals) and Jack Leahy (guitar, lap steel). After years of working in different bands of various styles, they decided to come together to form Blue Light. Blue Light quickly became established in the strong Denver songwriter scene. They were named in the class of 08’ by the editor of the Westword as one of a handful of bands to watch for in the coming year. They also received praise from the Colorado Music Buzz as a new band to watch for. Built on a foundation of solid songwriting, and musicianship, Blue Light fills a void in the acoustic music scene, drawing on a range of influences from Radiohead and Wilco, to altcountry, Blue Light has found a way to blend their influences into a spacious, yet grounded experience.
